The Program.
Participants meet in early September for an orientation session with the program facilitator, followed by a two-day retreat. The program continues with one full-day session per month, from October to May, to explore and develop leadership skills through mock sessions, site visits, case studies, role-playing, guest speakers, multimedia presentations and more. Each LDA participant helps to produce a collaborative project that addresses a specific community need. Many of these projects have made Janesville and Rock County a better place to live, work and play. The program concludes with a graduation celebration in May.

What You'll Learn.
The LDA will provide innovative and diverse learning opportunities that help participants experience contemporary leadership theory grounded in current best practices. Participants develop skills in leading change and people, building coalitions, and improving communication.
